David Luiz, the former star defender of Paris Saint-Germain, now plays for Pafos in Cyprus but has found himself embroiled in a troubling legal case in Brazil. At 38 years old, Luiz is facing allegations of making threats against a 26-year-old social worker, Francisca Karollainy Barbosa Cavalcante, after she reportedly declined his invitation for a three-way encounter.

According to reports from Marca, the accusations are serious. The plaintiff claims to possess compromising screenshots: messages from the ex-Brazilian international on Instagram that include intimidating phrases like “I can just make you disappear” and “you will pay the consequences.” These messages have left her fearing for both her safety and that of her son.
