Belgium have found their new head coach. Mark van Bommel has reportedly reached an agreement to take charge of the Red Devils and succeed Rudi Garcia.
Van Bommel has been chosen to revive the Belgian national team. The Dutch coach is expected to sign a contract running until June 2028. The final documents have yet to be officially completed, but all parties are believed to have already reached an agreement.

His task will be to breathe new life into a Belgium side looking for a fresh start following Rudi Garcia’s departure. Under the French coach, Belgium reached the quarter-finals after eliminating the United States in the round of 16 before losing 2-1 to eventual world champions Spain.
Despite that performance from a team that appeared to be nearing the end of a cycle, the Belgian federation has decided to begin a new chapter. Van Bommel will be expected to quickly implement his ideas and prepare the team for the next international fixtures, with an official announcement likely to follow soon.
