Pau Cubarsí, the 18-year-old central defender, has officially extended his contract with FC Barcelona until June 2029. The promising talent has impressed this season, featuring in 23 La Liga matches and establishing himself as a key part of the club’s defensive future.
“FC Barcelona and Pau Cubarsí have reached an agreement to extend his contract, which is now effective until June 2029,” the club announced in an official statement.
During his previous extension in May, his release clause was set at €500 million. It’s likely that Barcelona has further increased it to secure their defensive gem for the long term.
