Free since the end of his spell at Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski could soon make a move to an unexpected league. According to Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbahçe have already taken the first steps to try to convince the Polish striker to join the club.
The Istanbul side hopes to take advantage of his free-agent status to pull off one of the biggest deals of the summer transfer window. Talks are reportedly already underway with the entourage of the former Bayern Munich goal machine.
Fenerbahçe Eye Major Lewandowski Signing
At 37 years old, Lewandowski is not short of offers and has no intention of rushing his decision. The Polish international is currently evaluating all available options before deciding on the next chapter of his career.
Could Turkey become the next destination for one of the greatest goalscorers of his generation after successful spells in Germany and Spain? Fenerbahçe certainly believe so and are hoping to pull off a remarkable coup.
