Paris Saint-Germain are continuing to build a squad capable of competing on every front. After strengthening the left side of the defense with the arrival of Lucas Digne, the French champions are now looking to reinforce the right flank.
With Lucas Digne expected to provide cover for Nuno Mendes on the left, attention has turned to the opposite side. Achraf Hakimi does not have a natural backup, although Warren Zaïre-Emery filled that role on several occasions last season. According to PSG Inside Actus, the club’s management want to sign a genuine right-back to give Hakimi regular rotation while keeping him fresh throughout the campaign.
PSG Target Reinforcements at Right-Back
Next season promises to be another demanding one, with Ligue 1, domestic cup competitions, the UEFA Champions League and international fixtures all adding to Hakimi’s workload. PSG are determined to avoid relying exclusively on their Moroccan star and want a player capable of stepping in without weakening the team.
The Parisian hierarchy are reportedly looking for a defender who is technically strong, attack-minded and ready to meet Luis Enrique’s tactical demands. Parma’s Alessandro Circati is said to be one of the profiles under consideration thanks to his ability to play both at centre-back and right-back. After securing depth on the left with Lucas Digne, PSG now hope to apply the same strategy on the opposite flank as their summer transfer window continues.
