Things are getting complicated at Real Madrid. The 2-2 draw against Elche, following a stalemate with Rayo Vallecano and a defeat to Liverpool, marks a third straight match without a win and has put Xabi Alonso under scrutiny.

Spanish media and a section of supporters are questioning his decisions, his tactical ideas and even his authority in the dressing room. Juanma Rodriguez claimed on El Chiringuito that “even he doesn’t believe in what he’s doing” and compared Alonso to Rafa Benitez, while fans described a team “without synergy”, “lacking ideas” and “players stepping on each other’s toes.” Rumours of tensions with key figures like Vinicius Jr are fuelling concerns.

Alonso is urging calm, insisting the squad remains united and focused on turning things around, saying the team must “analyse mistakes and move forward.” But with Barcelona applying pressure and Florentino Pérez watching closely, the margin for error is shrinking fast.
