Champions League: AC Milan Eliminated, Ibrahimovic Blames Collective Failure

“Feyenoord was not better than us; we just self-destructed. We’re disappointed. The referee was harsh on Théo Hernandez, not warning him before the red card… Théo is not an actor, he does his best,” said Ibrahimovic on Sky Italia.

Despite this costly mistake, coach Sergio Conceição took full responsibility for the team’s elimination and defended his player:

“If we are not in the Round of 16, it’s my responsibility. Players make mistakes, and so do I. One player does not win or lose a match,” he told Canal+.

A frustrating end to Milan’s European campaign, with big questions now looming over Hernandez’s future at the club.
