Thiago Motta finds himself in a precarious position after another elimination, but for now, he still has the backing of Juventus management.

The Bianconeri are going through a rough patch. After their Champions League Round of 16 exit against PSV Eindhoven (2-1, 1-3 AET), Juventus suffered another setback in the Coppa Italia, losing to Empoli on penalties (1-1, 2-4 tab) on Wednesday. These two consecutive disappointments have weakened the club and raised questions about Motta’s future.

However, despite these failures, the Juventus board continues to support its coach. “Thiago Motta’s position is not in danger,” assured sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli in an interview with Sky Sport, emphasizing the club’s long-term vision: “We believe in this project because we are creating value, and it is an important initiative for the club.”
