Kevin De Bruyne has officially signed with Napoli. The Belgian midfielder, now 33, was a free agent after leaving Manchester City, and he’s chosen Serie A for what could be the final big chapter of his career.
A New Challenge in Italy
After ten legendary seasons at City, De Bruyne had confirmed his departure earlier this year, expressing disappointment at not receiving a renewal offer. While clubs in Saudi Arabia and MLS showed strong interest, it was Napoli that convinced him to stay in Europe.
The Italian club celebrated his arrival on social media, posting: “Kevin is proud to be one of us!” A huge statement signing for Napoli ahead of the new season.
Still Hungry for Top-Level Football
This will be De Bruyne’s first experience in Serie A. With his elite vision and passing range, he’ll bring leadership and creativity to Napoli’s midfield. A massive move, and proof the Belgian still has plenty left to offer at the top level.
Kevin is proud to be one of us! ✨
