The Club World Cup continues to serve up drama — on and off the pitch. After tornado alerts earlier in the tournament, this time it was a violent storm that caused chaos.
The clash between Salzburg and Pachuca was suspended for 1 hour and 30 minutes due to dangerous weather conditions above Cincinnati. The match was paused in the 54th minute, shortly after Bryan Gonzalez equalised for the Mexican side.
Despite the long interruption, the game eventually resumed, with Salzburg securing a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Oscar Gloukh (42′) and Karim Onisiwo (76′). The Austrians now lead Group F in the tournament standings.
