Bradley Barcola is edging closer to the PSG exit. Until now, the French champions had been demanding as much as €170 million to let him go. But according to TEAMtalk, the Parisian hierarchy are now ready to discuss a deal at around €145 million. A €25 million drop that could completely revive Liverpool’s hopes.
Liverpool Closing In on Barcola
The Reds remain firmly in the race and have reportedly already put €125 million on the table. PSG rejected that offer, but the gap between the two clubs is now believed to be only around €20 million. The deal has never looked closer to being unlocked. Liverpool have yet to meet Paris’ new valuation, but the two sides are moving significantly closer. Barcola’s position is also said to be clear: with two years left on his contract, the France international has reportedly rejected an extension and would welcome a move to Liverpool.
Liverpool see Barcola as a major piece of their future attack, and convincing the player to move to Anfield would not be an issue. The English club now needs to find the right formula to make PSG accept. Cody Gakpo could also prove decisive: according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool still want to sign two wingers before the end of the transfer window and could accelerate if the Dutchman joins Tottenham. His departure would free up both squad space and additional funds for a push for Barcola.
