Real Madrid are preparing to move on from David Alaba (33) and Antonio Rüdiger (32). 2 French defenders could replace them next season.

According to AS, both defenders are considered “amortized,” and no contract renewal talks have been initiated. Alaba, with one of the highest salaries in the squad (€10.5M/year), is coming off a long injury spell and has no offers on the table. Despite this, he plans to see out his deal.

Rüdiger is appreciated for his sacrifice last season — playing through injury — but a renewal remains unlikely. Real are already planning for the future with Huijsen, Asencio, and the expected return of Militão.
