The Summer Vacations are officially over for Real Madrid. As reported by Marca, the entire squad and staff are set to kick off pre-season this Monday at 10 a.m. at Valdebebas. After the usual physical tests in the morning, the first official training session is scheduled for 6 p.m..
Due to their deep run in the new Club World Cup—where they reached the semi-finals before a heavy 4–0 loss to PSG—Real Madrid’s 2024–25 season only wrapped up on July 9. That leaves a very short preparation window before the start of the new campaign.
Two Weeks, One Friendly
New head coach Xabi Alonso faces a real challenge: he has just two weeks and one friendly—against WSG Tirol (Austria)—to get his team ready before their La Liga opener against Osasuna on August 19.
Missing Players: Endrick and Mastantuono
Alonso won’t have a full squad on day one.
- Endrick is still recovering from injury.
- Franco Mastantuono, signed from River Plate for €45 million, will only be eligible to join training on August 14, when he turns 18.
The countdown is on for Alonso, who must quickly shape his squad for a season packed with expectations—and very little time to prepare.
