José Mourinho has only just landed at Benfica, but he’s already cooking up drama: according to Goal France, he wants Karim Benzema as his marquee signing.
The pair go way back to Real Madrid (2010–2013), where Mourinho helped turn Benzema into one of Europe’s deadliest strikers. Fast-forward to 2025, the Frenchman is 37, still under contract at Al-Ittihad until 2026, and Mourinho thinks he’s the perfect dose of star power for Benfica.
