Milan’s renowned Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, commonly known as San Siro, is slated for demolition. The city council concluded an extensive eleven-hour debate on the matter, ultimately approving the sale of the stadium to its resident clubs, AC Milan and Inter Milan.

This monumental decision means that the beloved football cathedral will be torn down to pave the way for a brand-new arena. The estimated cost for constructing the new stadium stands at a staggering €1.2 billion.
