According to Cadena SER, FC Barcelona is set to smash through the €1 billion mark in revenues… but also in expenses for the 2025-26 season. A historic first that hides a financial time bomb.
The club forecasts €1.075 billion in income (thanks to the Camp Nou’s reopening and new commercial deals). But at the same time, expenses are expected to hit €1.019 billion, with the wage bill soaring to €565 million, inflated by bonuses and contract renewals – including Lamine Yamal’s.
Barça: The Billion-Euro Club in Revenue and Debt… Total Crisis!
Despite record revenues, Barça ended the 2024-25 season with €17 million in losses. The culprits? A €15m UEFA fine for breaching Financial Fair Play and the dramatic collapse of its subsidiary Barça Produccions SL, whose valuation plunged from €408m to €178m.
Worse still, the club’s net worth remains deep in the red at -€263m, while total debt has ballooned to €1.958 billion – not even counting the €1.5 billion tied to the Espai Barça project.
Barcelona now looks like a giant with feet of clay: billionaire on paper, but suffocating under colossal debt.
