Wesley Fofana seems to be collecting traffic violations like others collect Panini cards. Caught driving at high speed… on the emergency lane, he now has nine violations, while he is already serving a two-year driving ban and 300 hours of community service. In terms of personal records, he is doing quite well.
Wesley Fofana, king of injuries… and traffic violations. The Chelsea defender could almost have invented his own highway code, as he interprets it in his own way. But this latest incident is unlikely to help his image, as he is already struggling to establish himself on the pitch since his arrival in London due to a long series of injuries.

On the physical side, Fofana is also unlucky: knee, hamstring, surgery, concussion… a whole medical catalog. He even experienced a blank season after tearing his cruciate ligament. At this rate, Chelsea’s infirmary should reserve a loyalty card for him.

This season, Enzo Maresca wants to restore his confidence, but the Frenchman has only played five matches before disappearing from the radar again. His last appearance was on October 22 against Ajax. On the road as on the pitch, Fofana could really use a bit of stability.
