A major setback for PSG after the Intercontinental final against Flamengo. Two Parisian players will miss several weeks of competition.
PSG’s injury woes are far from over. The remarkable run of trophies has gone hand in hand with a remarkable run of absences. This time, Kang In Lee and Matvey Safonov are the ones affected.
PSG hit by fresh injury setbacks
Suffering from a left thigh issue, Kang In Lee picked up a muscle injury during Wednesday’s match against Flamengo. The South Korean attacking midfielder is forced to head to the treatment room and will be unavailable for several weeks, a new interruption in his growing momentum this season.
Another major absence is Matvey Safonov. The Russian goalkeeper sustained a fracture to his left hand during the same match against the Brazilian club. Despite the injury, he continued playing under the surge of adrenaline. PSG announced that a new medical update will be provided in three to four weeks to clarify the exact length of his unavailability.
