Tension is rising between Kylian Mbappé and Real Madrid over the management of his injury. As the World Cup approaches and the club faces crucial fixtures, disagreement has emerged regarding the timing of his return to competition.
According to several reports from Spain, a dispute has developed between the French striker’s entourage and the Madrid club. Real Madrid’s medical staff believe Mbappé could return to action in around three weeks, with a clear objective reported by Cadena Ser: having him available for the Champions League round of 16 second leg against Manchester City.
World Cup Concerns Fuel the Disagreement
However, the player’s camp strongly disagrees with that plan. With the World Cup just three months away, Mbappé’s entourage wants to avoid any unnecessary risk and refuses to rush his return to the pitch.
With fewer than 100 days before the tournament begins, Mbappé is naturally looking more toward the United States than toward Spain. This difference in priorities is creating internal tension, as Real Madrid hopes to rely on its star player for the crucial European showdown against Manchester City.
