Valentin Rongier listens closely to the advice of those around him, especially his wife. “My wife often tells me: ‘You’re meant to be a coach.’” At 29 years old, the Rennes midfielder has already begun reflecting on what his future might look like after his career as a professional player.
Rongier Begins Preparing for a Future in Coaching
The French midfielder explains that he increasingly sees himself staying involved in football once he hangs up his boots. With that in mind, the former Olympique de Marseille player has already started taking steps toward that goal.
“At the start of the year, I began a training program with UEFA, the Certificate Football Management,” he revealed. The program aims to help participants better understand the different aspects of the football industry, from strategy and management to player protection and financial matters, helping him gradually prepare for a potential transition into coaching.
