Paris Saint-Germain appear to have made their decision between Éli Junior Kroupi and Ferran Torres. Despite recent speculation linking the French striker with a move to Paris, the club’s priority is now reportedly focused on Barcelona and Spain international Ferran Torres.
PSG are believed to have assessed Kroupi’s profile in recent weeks, but the Bournemouth forward is not considered the ideal fit for Luis Enrique and Luis Campos. The club is looking for an attacker capable of making an immediate impact at the highest European level rather than a young player who is still developing.
Ferran Torres Emerges as PSG’s Top Target
According to Olivier Tallaron and other French reports, PSG have no intention of pursuing Kroupi further, with Ferran Torres now identified as the club’s main attacking target. After missing out on Yan Diomandé, who is expected to join Real Madrid, Paris have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign the Barcelona forward. Luis Enrique is said to value Torres’ versatility, mobility, and ability to play both out wide and through the middle.
Torres is expected to decide on his future in early August after returning from his post-World Cup holiday. Barcelona are reportedly prepared to offer him a contract extension but could consider a transfer if an offer close to €50 million arrives. PSG have already held discussions with the player’s entourage and could offer a four-year contract with improved financial terms, although no final agreement has been reached with either Torres or Barcelona.
Kroupi’s situation appears far more complicated. Bournemouth have no intention of selling the French striker after rejecting several approaches, including interest from Barcelona. The Premier League club reportedly values him at around €100 million or more as part of a total package. Manchester City have also made inquiries without changing Bournemouth’s stance. Beyond the financial aspect, PSG are believed to have opted for a more experienced profile, with Ferran Torres now clearly ahead of Kroupi in the club’s transfer plans.
