Officially, everything seems to be going well at PSG. But behind the scenes, the situation is quite different. According to the newspaper L’Équipe, the relationship between Yohan Cabaye, the head of the training center, and Luis Campos, the sporting director, is far from harmonious.

Is PSG still plagued by internal conflicts? Cabaye and Campos, a cold war in training? Employees at the center mention a “total lack of dialogue” between the two men, who make decisions independently, without consultation.

Within the training center, there is now talk of “Cabaye contracts” and “Campos contracts,” revealing a silent rift between the training staff and the sporting direction. The disagreements mainly concern the promotion of young talents, with some players being approved without Cabaye’s input, which creates tensions.

A recent example is the promotion of players like Yanis Khafi or Wassim Slama. An internal source stated: “We weren’t even asked for our opinion. Wassim was coming back from injury; he wasn’t ready. It surprised everyone.” This situation demonstrates differing visions between Cabaye and Campos, which seem increasingly difficult to reconcile.

The club denies any conflict… but is monitoring

Despite these tensions, Cabaye and Campos have recently managed to collaborate, particularly to convince Quentin Ndjantou to extend his contract. However, the discomfort persists, with some observers mentioning two diametrically opposed approaches regarding the management of young players.

The Parisian club has officially denied any conflict, stating that there is “no disagreement,” but simply a “desire for change.” According to sources close to the club, Cabaye enjoys the support of the president.

But one question remains: Who really holds the decision-making power regarding the future of PSG’s youth? Is it Cabaye or Campos?
