New chapter, new traditions: Paul Pogba has officially been initiated at AS Monaco during the club’s preseason training camp.
After joining the Ligue 1 side this summer to relaunch his career following a doping suspension, the 32-year-old midfielder took part in the team’s customary initiation ritual. During the training camp in Birmingham, Pogba stood on a chair and addressed his new teammates.
“Guys, I’m happy to be here, happy to be playing football again, especially with this group. I hope this year brings nothing but joy and trophies,” Pogba said, before breaking into a Maître Gims song—sparking laughter and applause in the locker room.
A lighthearted and symbolic moment, sealing his integration into the group as Pogba begins this new chapter in Monaco with a smile.
