Will Paris Saint-Germain have to deal with a new transfer saga involving Ousmane Dembélé? While the Parisian forward is currently negotiating a contract extension with the club, a reported meeting between his agent and Manchester City has stirred speculation.
Is Ousmane Dembélé talking with the enemy? According to the newspaper Sport, Moussa Sissoko, the agent of the French international, recently met with Hugo Viana, Manchester City’s sporting director. The reported meeting quickly fueled rumors about a potential move for the PSG attacker.
Meeting With Manchester City Sparks Speculation
Behind the scenes, discussions between PSG and Dembélé over a contract extension are still ongoing, but the two sides remain apart financially. As a result, the meeting with Manchester City was interpreted by some as a way to increase pressure on the Parisian club’s management.
However, the story was quickly denied. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the meeting with the agent had nothing to do with Ousmane Dembélé and there are no discussions between the player’s camp and Manchester City. The conversation may instead have concerned Rayan Cherki, another player represented by the same agent.
For now, the former Rennes winger remains involved in negotiations with PSG to extend his contract, which currently runs until 2027. But the situation is still far from being resolved.
