Paris Saint-Germain is preparing a new ambitious project. According to L’Équipe, its owner Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) is currently working on a bid to secure the future Paris franchise of NBA Europe.
PSG in the NBA is already underway. The objective would be to establish Paris as a major hub in the future European league launched by the National Basketball Association.

QSI has confirmed it is working “positively and actively” on the project, although very few details have been revealed so far.
Several scenarios are being considered. Discussions reportedly took place with clubs from the Paris region such as Paris Basketball and Metropolitans 92, though no agreement has been reached at this stage.
Another option would be to buy an existing team in order to obtain its sporting rights and use it as the foundation for the future Paris franchise. The project could also be influenced by the local context, particularly the ongoing discussions about the future of the Parc des Princes. For now, PSG does not have a basketball section, but this initiative confirms the club’s ambition to expand far beyond football.
