Freshly promoted to Ligue 1, Paris FC is ramping up efforts to avoid a rollercoaster season and secure a lasting place in France’s top flight. A key target? Sacha Boey.
The Paris club wants to make a statement. On Monday, Arda Ozkurt, a Turkish journalist and transfer specialist, dropped a bombshell that could shake up Parisian football: Sacha Boey, a defender for Bayern Munich, has reportedly received an offer from Paris FC.
The French defender, transferred from Galatasaray to Bayern Munich in January 2024 for €30 million, didn’t have the ideal debut season, marred by a meniscus injury. While the Premier League has also shown interest, it seems Paris FC is determined to make a strong move by offering Boey a compelling challenge. Not completely indifferent to the prospect of playing in Ligue 1, Boey wouldn’t mind returning to France, though his ultimate dream remains making the national team.
A Major Coup for the Newly Promoted Side?
With offers on the table, Paris FC isn’t sitting idle. Armed with an ambitious team and a solid project, the club could make a significant impact this summer. Signing Sacha Boey would be a huge statement for the newly promoted side, strengthening their defense with a player well-versed in top-tier European football.
It remains to be seen if this move will come to fruition, but if it does, it would send a strong message to Ligue 1 and its competitors.
