Paris Saint-Germain will indeed wear a star above their crest to celebrate their historic Champions League victory—but only during the Club World Cup. For the rest of the season, the decision remains up in the air, according to club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
Speaking on C dans l’air on France 5, Al-Khelaïfi confirmed the tribute: “It’s a beautiful star, but the name of the club is bigger than any logo.”
The special emblem honors PSG’s first-ever European crown, won in dominant fashion this season against Borussia Dortmund.
Still under review for next season
While the star will feature during the Club World Cup, no final decision has been made regarding the 2025–2026 kit. The club is treading carefully, aiming to stay humble despite this monumental achievement.
The commemorative jersey has already sold out, a clear sign of how much the symbol resonates with fans. Whether it becomes a permanent badge of honor or remains a limited tribute is still to be determined.
