A new era is underway at Real Madrid — and no one is above the rules. Ahead of the Club World Cup clash with Al Hilal, Xabi Alonso has made his message clear: everyone must put in the work. That includes stars like Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Jr.
According to Cadena SER, the new Madrid boss told his squad: “If you don’t run, you get a yellow. Do it again, and you’re off.” Even Thibaut Courtois is expected to press during training. The goal? Eleven warriors on the pitch, regardless of status.
“The new signings will help us”
Vinicius has embraced the challenge. “Yes, I spoke with the coach before meeting him here in the U.S. I’m very happy to work with him now, and we’ll keep pushing to win many titles together,” said the Brazilian on the club’s official channel. “The new signings will help us, and I hope they enjoy their time here — at the best club in the world.”
With Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, and Franco Mastantuono joining the fold, Alonso’s Madrid promises to be disciplined, united… and demanding.
