Settled in California for the Club World Cup, Paris Saint-Germain are thriving under a carefully planned routine that balances intense training with freedom and relaxation. With morning sessions followed by free afternoons, Luis Enrique and Luis Campos have struck a formula that’s keeping the squad both sharp and smiling. And in Los Angeles — the players are practically anonymous.

Discipline in the morning, freedom in the afternoon

According to L’Équipe, every morning begins with a group breakfast, followed by focused training sessions. But the afternoons? That’s downtime. Unless it’s the day before or the day of a match, the squad is free to enjoy themselves.

Some stay at their luxurious hotel, relaxing with shows or games. Others explore local malls or take strolls on the beach. Some, like Luis Enrique himself, opt for sightseeing: Hollywood, Venice Beach, Disneyland, Santa Monica’s Ferris wheel — all fair game.

No paparazzi, no pressure

One key advantage? No one recognizes them. PSG’s stars can walk the streets of LA undisturbed. Even at iconic locations like the Walk of Fame or Rodeo Drive, they go unnoticed. The only one stopped by a fan? Désiré Doué, spotted alongside Warren Zaïre-Emery and Senny Mayulu.

It’s a far cry from the frenzy in Paris. At their Irvine training camp, even students keep their cool. For the players, it’s almost like being on holiday — without missing a single beat in their preparation.

A formula that works

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma praised the setup: “These are key moments to build a strong team.” The Paris staff encourages personal responsibility over strict control, and it’s paying off. Training remains intense, the atmosphere is calm, and the squad looks united.

Luis Campos ensures that new recruits fit this mindset from day one — lifestyle is part of scouting. And so far, the approach is delivering. PSG look focused, refreshed… and ready to win it all.
