AS Monaco are stepping up their search for a new No.1 this summer — and the shortlist is raising eyebrows.
Following the failed pursuit of David De Gea, who has extended his stay at Fiorentina, the Ligue 1 side have turned to other high-calibre options. According to L’Équipe, Monaco are now eyeing Marc-André ter Stegen (Barcelona), André Onana (Manchester United), Djordje Petrovic (Chelsea), and Ugurcan Cakir (Trabzonspor).
Internally, the message is clear: “There’s no room for error.” Third in Ligue 1 and headed for the Champions League, Monaco want a top-class keeper to anchor their backline.
And it might not stop there with Barcelona: Ansu Fati is also on the radar. A loan move is being considered, though the deal is currently at a standstill.
With ambitions sky-high, Monaco are aiming to make a serious statement in the transfer window.
