The Paris Saint-Germain board has a surprising new target: Igor Jesus, the 24-year-old striker from Botafogo — and the very man who scored the goal that sank PSG (0-1) in the group stage of the Club World Cup.
According to PSG Inside Actus, the Ligue 1 champions are closely monitoring the Brazilian forward, under contract with Botafogo until 2027. Paris sees him as a technical, sharp attacker who could add depth and unpredictability to Luis Enrique’s squad.
No offer yet, just close scouting
While the interest is real, there has been no formal offer or contact with Botafogo for now. The situation is delicate, with Botafogo owned by John Textor, who also controls Olympique Lyonnais. Negotiations, if initiated, could be complex.
Paris remains in observation mode for now — but other European clubs are sniffing around. One to watch this summer.
