It’s official: Ansu Fati has joined AS Monaco. At 22 years old, the Spanish forward temporarily leaves FC Barcelona in search of a fresh start in Ligue 1. A season-long loan with an option to buy has been agreed between the two clubs.

Ansu Fati joins Paul Pogba as part of Monaco’s ambitious rebuild. “AS Monaco is pleased to announce the arrival of Ansu Fati. The 22-year-old Spanish international forward joins on loan from FC Barcelona for the 2025–2026 season, with an option to buy,” the club confirmed.

With Champions League football on the horizon, AS Monaco provides an ideal platform. It’s a bold gamble by the Principality club — and a golden opportunity for Fati to relaunch his career.
