A PSG Titi Says : Louis Mouquet Announces His Departure : After 15 years at the club, the young goalkeeper is moving on.
Louis Mouquet has officially announced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain after 15 years in the capital. The 21-year-old goalkeeper, who joined PSG at just six years old, was not offered a contract extension after his deal expired on June 30.
Though he trained regularly with Luis Enrique’s first-team squad and appeared on many matchday sheets, he never made an official debut.
Donnarumma, Tenas, Safonov…
Blocked by Gianluigi Donnarumma, Arnau Tenas, and now Matvey Safonov, Mouquet was unable to climb the pecking order. In an emotional message on Instagram, the young Frenchman said: “It’s time for me to leave behind this shirt that makes me so proud… Thank you Paris, I love you.”
PSG is expected to release several youth players this summer. For Mouquet, a new chapter begins—with the hope of proving himself elsewhere.
