Transfer window heats up over Monaco’s rising star : Arsenal have opened talks with the entourage of Maghnes Akliouche, the 23-year-old Monaco playmaker, as part of their push to strengthen their attacking options.
According to L’Équipe, discussions have taken place with the player’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya. However, Monaco have no intention of letting Akliouche go cheaply, reportedly demanding a €70 million fee after his 5 goals and 7 assists in Ligue 1 last season.
PSG still in the race
Paris Saint-Germain also remain interested in Akliouche but are unwilling to meet Monaco’s current valuation. Arsenal’s growing pressure could push PSG to act quickly to avoid losing another French prospect to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also monitoring Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, hero of the Europa League final, valued at €50 million. With the Viktor Gyökeres option cooling off, the Gunners are preparing to make their move — and PSG may be forced into a transfer battle they didn’t expect this early in the summer.
