Juventus have secured their first attacking signing of the summer. According to multiple Italian outlets, an agreement in principle has been reached with Jonathan David (25), who was a free agent after the end of his contract with Lille.
It took time, but after several weeks of negotiations, the Canadian striker has given the green light to the Bianconeri. Only a few formalities remain before the medical and official signing.
David is coming off a strong season, having scored 25 goals in 49 appearances. He recently exited the Gold Cup with Canada after a penalty shootout loss to Guatemala (1–1, 5–6 on pens).
Vlahovic still in the picture…
Juventus plan to pair David with Victor Osimhen, who is back at Napoli after a loan spell at Galatasaray. If that move fails, the club may turn to Mateo Retegui, currently at Atalanta.
However, before making another move, Juventus must resolve the Dusan Vlahovic situation. The Serbian forward remains under contract and is not keen on leaving. And what about Kolo Muani? One to watch…
