Paris Saint-Germain is betting on the future… but now finds itself overloaded with goalkeepers. On Thursday, the club officially announced the signing of Renato Marin (19) until 2030. A smart long-term move — but one that raises a pressing question: who’s leaving?
Trained at AS Roma, the Italian-Brazilian shot-stopper has emerged as one of the most promising keepers of his generation. A solid performer with Italy U19, standout in Primavera (39 matches, 13 clean sheets), and part of Roma’s senior squad in the Europa League, Marin was a clear opportunity PSG couldn’t pass up. But now the goalkeeping department is overcrowded.
PSG will have to let go… one or two keepers
With Donnarumma, Tenas, and Safonov already in the squad — and now Marin — the hierarchy is bound to shift. A clear-out is inevitable, and some goalkeepers are already preparing to move on.
“It’s a dream come true. I want to thank the club for this amazing opportunity. I’ll give everything for PSG and the fans,” said Marin after signing.
A gem in the making… and a tough puzzle ahead for Luis Campos.
