Rodrygo (24) could still be headed for the Premier League next season—but not to Arsenal. The Real Madrid forward, rumored to be on the way out due to fierce competition in the squad, has seen one of his main suitors back off.
According to Cadena Ser, the Gunners have pulled out of the race, unwilling to meet Real Madrid’s €80 million asking price. With Arsenal preparing to spend over €130 million on Noni Madueke (€60M) and Viktor Gyökeres (€70M), there’s no room left for the Brazilian in Mikel Arteta’s plans.
Chelsea and Liverpool still interested
Despite the Arsenal setback, Rodrygo hasn’t given up hope. The former Santos winger—currently on vacation until Real’s return to training on August 4—is still hoping for concrete interest from Chelsea or Liverpool, both reportedly monitoring the situation closely.
With six goals in La Liga last season and three years left on his contract, Rodrygo won’t be forced out. But Madrid have made it clear: a good offer, and he can leave. The transfer saga is far from over.
