Liverpool are making serious strides in the Hugo Ekitike file. After a standout season with Eintracht Frankfurt (22 goals, 12 assists), the 23-year-old French striker has caught the eye of the Reds, who are actively looking to bolster their attacking options this summer.

While clubs like Newcastle, Manchester United, and West Ham have all shown interest, it’s Liverpool who have taken the lead. Under new boss Arne Slot, the Merseyside club sees Ekitike as a versatile, mobile forward perfectly suited to their fast-paced, high-pressing style of play.

From PSG flop to Liverpool target?

According to Foot Mercato, a personal agreement has already been reached between Liverpool and Ekitike. Contract length, salary, and terms are all in place. The final hurdle remains: negotiating a fee with Frankfurt, who are demanding between €80 and €100 million for the striker they signed permanently from PSG after a successful loan.
