Neymar and Santos are both struggling, and Wednesday night summed it all up in a moment of chaos and frustration.
During the 2-1 defeat to Internacional Porto Alegre, tensions boiled over at Vila Belmiro. After the final whistle, Neymar stormed toward a fan in the lower stands and exchanged heated words.
Already frustrated during the game, the Brazilian star clearly couldn’t hold it in any longer. Goalkeeper Joao Paulo had to step in to calm Neymar and pull him away from the confrontation.

A phantom goal and a celebration that backfired
In stoppage time, Neymar thought he had equalised with a powerful left-footed strike. The ball spilled from the keeper’s hands, hit the post, and rolled along the line… but never fully crossed it. Believing he had scored, Neymar ran off in wild celebration, even smashing the corner flag. But VAR ruled no goal—the ball hadn’t entirely crossed the line.

Another blow, another loss. Santos remain stuck in the relegation zone, tied on points with Vasco da Gama (14).
Neymar’s highly anticipated return to Brazil is turning sour. The pressure is mounting, the fans are on edge, and the club’s so-called saviour now finds himself at the heart of a growing storm.
