Could Neymar make a shocking return to Europe — via Marseille? According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Olympique de Marseille have made the first moves to pull off one of the most unexpected deals of the summer: bringing Neymar back to Ligue 1, this time under the OM banner.

Now 33, Neymar is currently playing for Santos FC in Brazil, his boyhood club. But he’s looking for a new challenge in Europe as he eyes a strong run-up to the 2026 World Cup. And Marseille, ambitious and eager to make a statement this summer, are reportedly ready to open the door.
