Paris Saint-Germain resumed training this week with the UEFA Super Cup clash against Tottenham fast approaching. All international players involved in the Club World Cup are back, and there are no reported injuries in the squad… but the situation is far from ideal.

Tottenham’s injury crisis: 8 missing, Son goneProbable Lineups – PSG vs Tottenham (Wednesday, August 14 in Udine)

Despite a carefully planned individual fitness program over the holidays, PSG heads into the match without a single new signing. Both Illya Zabarnyi and Lucas Chevalier are still pending arrivals, and while Gianluigi Donnarumma trained on Wednesday, his long-term future remains uncertain.

The “undesirables” — Kolo Muani, Asensio, Mukiele, Soler, Renato Sanches, and Housni — remain completely out of Luis Enrique’s plans. Milan Skriniar has already left the club, signing with Fenerbahçe. On the other hand, Kimpembe, Lee Kang-in, and Gonçalo Ramos are still around, even if their futures are under discussion.

Tottenham’s injury crisis: 8 missing, Son gone

Tottenham will be far from full strength. The Premier League side is dealing with a long list of confirmed injuries:

  • Maddison, Kulusevski, Dragusin, Udogie, Gil, Solomon, and Takai are all ruled out.
  • Heung-min Son has already played his final match for the club and is expected to join Los Angeles FC shortly.
  • Striker Dominic Solanke is recovering from an ankle injury but may return in time after featuring in the friendly vs Bayern.

Good news for the Spurs: new signing João Palhinha is set to make his debut this Thursday and should feature against PSG.

Probable Lineups – PSG vs Tottenham (Wednesday, August 14 in Udine)

PSG:
Donnarumma – Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes – Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz – Doué, Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia

Tottenham:
Vicario – Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence – Palhinha, Bentancur – Kudus, Bergvall, Odobert – Tel or Solanke

Despite the absences and lack of reinforcements, PSG enters with a full-strength core, while Tottenham will need to compensate for several key losses. A balanced Super Cup on paper — but the details could tip the scale.
