Marseille aren’t done yet. After pushing hard for Dani Ceballos, the French giants are closing in on another Premier League star – West Ham’s Emerson Palmieri.
According to Foot Mercato, the 31-year-old Italy international could be released from his Hammers contract, which runs until 2026. That means no transfer fee – a dream scenario for Pablo Longoria and Mehdi Benatia, who are desperate to add a left-back before the window slams shut.
Emerson knows Ligue 1 well from his Lyon spell, and with stints at Chelsea and now West Ham, he brings serious pedigree. Unlike Liverpool’s Kostas Tsimikas, another name on OM’s shortlist, Emerson looks gettable – and fast.
With just days left in the mercato, Marseille are ready to pounce. A golden opportunity is on the table, and the Vélodrome could soon welcome a new Italian face.
