The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) confirmed on Sunday night that Ousmane Dembélé is heading to Qatar. After suffering a right thigh injury in early September, the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner will continue his rehabilitation at Aspetar in Doha, renowned for its sports medicine expertise.
Dembélé is nearing a return, but PSG is taking no chances. The club stated, “As part of his rehabilitation process, Ousmane Dembélé will travel to Aspetar in Doha this week.” This move aims to give him the best chance at a full recovery.
The French international is heading to a familiar spot for PSG, which has previously treated other key players currently on the sidelines, including Marquinhos and João Neves.
Dembélé Heads to Doha for Rehab Boost
On Saturday, Dembélé was celebrated at Parc des Princes after PSG’s 2-0 victory over Auxerre, showcasing his Ballon d’Or to the crowd. When asked about his return, he optimistically remarked, “It’s going well; I’ll be back very soon,” without confirming his availability for the match against Strasbourg on October 17.
PSG is eager to have their star back soon, especially as the team grapples with a series of injuries ahead of their crucial Champions League clash against FC Barcelona.
