The English football community is mourning the loss of Billy Vigar, a former promising striker trained at Arsenal, who passed away on Thursday at just 21 years old.
Vigar, who played for Chichester City in the seventh division, suffered severe injuries after colliding with a concrete wall while attempting to retrieve a ball last Saturday.
After being placed in an artificial coma and undergoing surgery on Tuesday, Vigar unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. His club stated, “Although the operation was beneficial, the injury proved too severe.”
