Premier League To Scrap Boxing Day Tradition !

It’s a bombshell for English football: according to Daily Mail Sport, the Premier League is preparing to break one of its most sacred traditions. This year, only ONE match could be played on December 26 — the legendary Boxing Day.

Nothing is officially confirmed yet, but insiders say the change is all but inevitable. And no one knows which lucky fixture will be chosen for the UK’s biggest holiday football slot.

Not seen since 1982

Meanwhile, the EFL, Championship and lower leagues will keep their traditional full slate of Boxing Day games.

A piece of football history may be about to disappear: not since 1982 has top-flight English football offered fewer than three matches on December 26. Fans are already bracing for an explosion of anger.
