José Mourinho, more “Special” than ever. According to the Turkish media Yeniçağ Gazetesi, reported by Record, the Portuguese coach allegedly left Fenerbahçe behind… with a massive bill.
José Mourinho has left Turkey, but his former club is still waiting for him to pay. While he received a huge severance package, he also left behind a staggering hotel bill amounting to €747,000.
The reason? Mourinho reportedly spent 15 months in one of the luxurious suites at the Four Seasons in Istanbul, a five-star palace where each night costs more than a full weekend for the average person. Long-term stay, absolute comfort, premium service… and an astronomical bill.
A hefty bill
One point remains unclear: who will pay? Mourinho? Or Fenerbahçe, which may have included part of his expenses in his contract?
The coach, already known for his legendary one-liners, could add a new anecdote to his mythology: a departure leaving a bill heavier than some Süper Lig transfers.
The story is already shaking Istanbul… and making all of Europe laugh.
