Neymar completely lost his cool last weekend with Santos. Bad mood on the field, criticism of the refereeing… the former PSG player had to go through the apology phase, without really doing so.

Even stars sometimes have to acknowledge their mistakes. Neymar had to calm things down. Criticized in Brazil after his outburst during his substitution on Sunday, the Santos star contacted his coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda to acknowledge that he had crossed the line.

It must be said that Ney went too far: he exploded with rage after being substituted in the 85th minute while the team was losing 3-0, kicking a bottle and leaving the field before the end of the match.

Tense atmosphere at Santos

According to Globo Esporte, Neymar explained his reaction by his annoyance with the refereeing, which had warned him earlier. However, he did not offer formal apologies but stated that he was available to help the team and praised Vojvoda for his work. The club, irritated by his behavior, considers the incident closed and does not plan any sanctions.

Back after two months of injury, Neymar is in a tense atmosphere at Santos: fragile form, criticism, internal tensions, and inability to unify. He is now highly anticipated on Saturday in the derby against Palmeiras, as the team struggles to escape the relegation zone.
