Mbappé, the fake injury ? Real Madrid Star Under Fire in France

After the 4-0 victory of the French team against Ukraine, Kylian Mbappé was allowed to return to Real Madrid due to inflammation in his right ankle. Officially, he is supposed to undergo examinations at the club, but the Spanish press claims that nothing is scheduled.

The return of the injury always seems to come at just the right time. Either before an international match or in between. This often happens to several stars, including Kylian Mbappé.

This situation fuels suspicions of a “diplomatic injury,” intended to spare the captain of the Blues the long trip to Azerbaijan for a meaningless match, as France is already qualified for the 2026 World Cup.

“Mbappé receives preferential treatment”

While some close to the Blues remain cautious, Jérôme Rothen openly criticizes Mbappé’s attitude and questions his state of mind.

“We were wondering when it was 4-0. We were asking who would invent an injury to avoid going to Baku (…) He is the captain of the French team, he receives preferential treatment, okay. But he has teammates alongside him. Do you think all the teammates who are going to Baku, and those who play as much or even more than Mbappé throughout the year, are not tired and want to play this meaningless match? No.”

“But on the other hand, they are going because they have to. And Kylian Mbappé, does he have this preferential treatment? When you make decisions like that, it can create problems in the locker room, and I remain convinced that there are players who are fed up with this preferential treatment,” said the RMC Sport consultant.
