After leaving Liverpool in 2024 to take a breather following years of glory and intensity, Jürgen Klopp (58 years old) took a break away from the sidelines. The German then accepted a role as global football director within the Red Bull group, a strategic mission far from the tumult of the stadiums.
Jürgen Klopp is back… but not where we expected! The former Liverpool coach is not done with football… or with the cameras. In a message full of ambiguity, relayed by the Liverpool Echo, Klopp first cast doubt on a possible return to the pitch: “Returning to the bench? I don’t miss anything… but now, it makes me want to again. The grass under my feet, the electrifying atmosphere…”
Klopp announces his return… while leading us to believe he was taking a coaching role!
This sent the football world into a frenzy for a few seconds… before the punchline: “Oh really? No, not as a coach. I’m becoming a consultant for Magenta TV during the 2026 World Cup.”
The former Liverpool coach will therefore bring his expertise, sharp analyses, and charisma in front of the cameras during the 2026 World Cup. Klopp is (almost) back on the sidelines… but this time, with a microphone in hand.
