Zidane To Take Over the French National Team, the Confirmation!

The Spanish press confirms: Zinédine Zidane is closer than ever to the bench of the French national team. According to AS, the former Real Madrid coach has never considered an immediate return to the Casa Blanca and is indeed waiting for the end of Didier Deschamps’ term, expected after the 2026 World Cup. Proof of his determination: he has reportedly declined all offers received since leaving Real in 2021.

Free for three years, Zidane has recently reignited speculation. When asked by El Chiringuito about a possible return, he responded straightforwardly: “Yes, yes,” with a smile. However, he carefully avoided questions regarding Xabi Alonso’s situation at Real, a silence that further fuels theories about his future.

Some rumors even suggest a quick stop in Madrid to replace a struggling coach and reconnect with the sensations of the field before taking over the Blues. An appealing hypothesis, but still very uncertain.

“Soon, yes yes”

Moreover, Zizou has already hinted at other clues. In Toulon, during a charity match where he had to take on the role of coach, he expressed hope to return “soon,” then “soon too” to a professional bench.

Two “soons” and one “yes, yes” in a few days: the message is clear. Unless there is a huge surprise, Zidane is preparing to succeed Deschamps. The countdown has begun.
